What I help with

A complicated task or process, simplified through good design and whichever technology genuinely fits.

Every engagement starts with a short written brief so we can agree on scope, price, and timeline before any work begins. The categories below describe the kind of complexity I am usually brought in to solve, whether that is interactive 3D, a mobile app, an automation, or artificial intelligence.

User Experience and Product Design

Before anything gets built, I map how the product or process actually works today, where people get stuck, and what a genuinely simple version would look like. This includes user flows, interface design, and interactive prototypes people can click through and react to before a single line of production code is written.

  • User research and process mapping for complex or unfamiliar workflows
  • Interface design for web, mobile, tablet, and spatial interfaces
  • Clickable prototypes for early validation and stakeholder buy in
  • Design systems that keep a product consistent as it grows

Product configurator and quoting tool

Configurators and Interactive Quoting Tools

When a product has too many options to explain over the phone or in a catalogue, I build a tool that lets the customer configure it themselves and see an accurate price instantly. This is one of the clearest examples of complexity turned into a simple experience, and I have built these for luxury, automotive, and industrial clients.

  • Real time option logic and pricing engines built around your actual pricing
  • Real time 3D or clean 2D visualisation depending on what the product needs
  • Instant quote output as a PDF, email, or connected to your sales pipeline
  • Connected to your existing pricing sheet, spreadsheet, or system

Real time 3D interactive experience

Real Time 3D, Interactive, and Spatial Experiences

For products or processes that are genuinely easier to understand through interaction, whether that means turning something in your hands, walking around it, or simply clicking through it, I build interactive and real time 3D experiences that run in a browser, on a tablet, or in virtual and augmented reality. I bring this in when it actually helps someone understand something faster, not as decoration.

  • Browser based real time 3D using WebGL and Three.js, no plugin required
  • Virtual reality and augmented reality experiences built in Unity3D
  • Touchless, gesture based interaction for showroom and trade show environments
  • Photorealistic materials, lighting, and camera work built for a specific product

Interactive training simulator

Training and Onboarding Simulators

When a task is complicated or genuinely dangerous to learn, a document is rarely enough. I build interactive simulators that walk someone through a real process step by step, with checkpoints, knowledge checks, and a clear record that the training actually happened.

  • Step by step guided flows built around your actual process, with branching where needed
  • Knowledge checks with instant feedback, scoring, and completion certificates
  • Audio narration and a guided character where that improves comprehension
  • Runs on any device with no installation, with basic completion analytics

Digitising a paper packing log onto a tablet in the field

Digitising Field and Operational Processes

Some of the most complex workflows are still running on paper, or across a patchwork of spreadsheets and habits held in one person's head. Many companies try to fix this by rolling out a generic CRM or field management platform, which often turns into a bloated, expensive system packed with features nobody asked for, getting in the way of the one or two things an operator actually needs to do quickly on site. My role is to design and build a clear, efficient frontend for the people on the ground, not another heavy platform, and it can connect to your existing CRM through an API when that data genuinely needs to flow both ways.

  • Digital forms rebuilt field by field to match your existing process
  • Automatic calculations, validation, and touch signature capture
  • Deployed on the tablets or phones your team already has, no new hardware
  • No subscriptions and no platform lock in

Artificial Intelligence, When It Genuinely Helps

I use artificial intelligence in a project when it genuinely removes friction, not as a feature added for its own sake. That might mean an assistant that understands your product catalogue and answers customer questions, a tool that automates a task your team currently repeats by hand every week, or a system that makes a large amount of internal information searchable in plain language. It is one tool among the ones I use, applied where it earns its place.

  • AI powered assistants trained on your own product, service, or documentation
  • Automation of repetitive manual tasks such as data entry, quoting, or reporting
  • Natural language interfaces for internal tools and dashboards
  • Integration of AI capabilities into existing websites, apps, or internal systems
  • Real world data from sensors and site monitoring feeding AI decisions, so problems and optimisation opportunities surface before a human would catch them manually

Websites and Applications

A website or application built with the same principle as everything else I do: understand what the visitor or user is actually trying to accomplish, then design and build the simplest possible path to it. Fast, modern, and built to be understood by both search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.

  • Custom design and development, not a generic template
  • Modern, fast, mobile first technology stack
  • Search engine optimisation and AI readability built in from the start
  • Full source files delivered, no platform lock in

Complex, Unusual, or Custom Problems

If your challenge does not fit neatly into any of the categories above, that is usually a good sign, not a problem. Some of the most interesting projects I have worked on started as an unusual request that did not have an obvious solution yet. This also extends to hardware: I bring an engineer's approach to physical problems, from FDM and SLA 3D printing to prototypes built on Arduino and ESP32 for specific IoT use cases and hands on tinkering, including designing my own custom UI for my car's Android based infotainment screen. I can also build solutions that bridge the virtual and the physical, connecting software and 3D interfaces to real world sensors and hardware. Describe the task or process you are trying to simplify, and I will tell you honestly how I would approach it.
