About me

I am a self taught UX and technical consultant with 15 years of experience turning complex problems into simple experiences.

I got into computers as a kid through video games, and it did not take long before playing them was not enough, I wanted to make things myself. That pushed me into building websites, then logos for friends, local associations, and small businesses around me. Once I bought my first Mac, I started building apps and games for iPhone. In high school, my final year project was in electronics prototyping, and I later studied multimedia at university, where I built complete websites end to end. VR and game development came next, both self taught, because nobody was going to teach me exactly what I wanted to build.

My first real job was at a web marketing agency, maintaining ecommerce sites and optimising them technically for paid ads, which is where I learned what actually matters once a site has to perform, not just look good. During the pandemic, I used the time to properly formalise my UX practice through a dedicated UX design course, while working in an agency on virtual reality projects and high fidelity interactive 3D applications. That combination, real user experience training layered on top of years of building things myself, is what still drives how I work today: I am a self taught UX and technical consultant with 15 years of experience across interface design, web and mobile development, real time 3D, extended reality, interactive installations, and artificial intelligence. That range is deliberate: it means I am not limited to one type of solution, and I choose whichever fits the problem in front of me.

Today I work independently, taking on projects directly from business owners, product leads, and teams who want someone who can own both the experience and the engineering behind it. I have delivered work for major international brands in aerospace, luxury goods, and automotive, as well as for smaller independent businesses who needed the same rigour applied to a simpler problem.

I am currently moving into full time freelance work as a location independent consultant, which means I am actively looking for interesting, complex problems I can help simplify, for clients anywhere in the world.

What sets me apart

  • One person covers both the user experience thinking and the engineering. There is no gap between what was designed and what gets built, because I do both.
  • I specialise in complexity. Configurators with hundreds of variables, training for high risk tasks, workflows that currently exist across spreadsheets and habit, these are the problems I find most interesting.
  • I am genuinely polyvalent. Interactive 3D, mobile apps, web platforms, automation, and artificial intelligence are all tools in the same toolbox to me, and I choose whichever one actually solves your problem rather than steering every project toward my favourite.
  • I deliver a working, clickable version early, usually within the first week, so decisions are made by testing something real.
  • Everything I build is yours at the end. Full source code, no lock in, no ongoing dependency on me unless you choose to continue working together.
  • I have delivered production work for some of the most demanding brands in the world, where both the experience and the technical execution had to be flawless.

What clients say

Direct feedback from people I have worked with, clients and former managers.

Maxime has been handling our entire online presence for several months, and I trust him completely with it. He is easy to reach, listens closely to what we need, and always finds a good way to bring our vision to life. He still manages our web design, website, and social branding today, and feels like part of the team. I recommend him without hesitation, both for his talent and as a person: attentive, and never afraid to bring real creativity to the final result.

Raphael Certain πŸ‡«πŸ‡· πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Founder of Clarity

I found Maxime through LinkedIn, and he understood right away what I needed for my agency: a logo that was simple, effective, and high end. He quickly put together several options, and I chose one that we then refined together. I am very happy with the final result and would gladly recommend him or work with him again.

Francois Legros πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

Founder and Managing Director, F&FC Agency

Max just did my branding and logo assets for me, among other things, flyers, vehicle signage, and more. Great to work with and a professional job.

Ray Sutton πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

Max is curious, passionate, motivated, and caring, a genuine pleasure to work with. A natural problem solver, he is always ready to support his colleagues on the most ambitious projects. If you need web development, design, UX, or more, I recommend him without reservation.

Gabriel Tasse πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

VP Strategy and Innovation at Tink, former direct manager

I had the chance to work with Maxime for almost three years. He has always been a strong team player and one of the most effective problem solvers I have worked with. His curious mind pushed him to keep learning across a wide range of subjects, and that knowledge came in useful no matter what project he was on.

Anastasia Skaya πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Director of Integration and Growth at Tink, former direct manager

It is rare to come across a profile like Maxime's. He is driven by genuine passion and a real, personal motivation to do things well and keep pushing himself further, which makes him an exemplary colleague.
